Magufy Burundi – Community Guidelines

Welcome to Magufy Burundi! Our goal is to provide a safe, trustworthy, and enjoyable marketplace for everyone in Burundi. These Community Guidelines explain how to use Magufy responsibly and respectfully.

By using Magufy Burundi, you agree to follow these guidelines.


1. Be Honest and Transparent

  • Always provide accurate information in your listings.

  • Clearly describe items or services for sale, including price, condition, and location.

  • Upload only real photos of the products you are selling.


2. Respect Other Users

  • Treat all users with courtesy and respect.

  • Avoid offensive, abusive, or threatening language in listings, messages, or comments.

  • Do not impersonate other users or Magufy staff.


3. No Fraud, Spam, or Scams

  • Do not post fake listings or misleading offers.

  • Avoid sending unsolicited messages, promotions, or spam.

  • Magufy Burundi is not responsible for offline payments or disputes — always verify the person you are dealing with.


4. Listing Guidelines

  • Post items in the correct category.

  • Avoid prohibited items (illegal goods, stolen property, counterfeit products).

  • Do not post duplicate listings to gain visibility.


5. Communication Rules

  • Use the Magufy chat responsibly — it is intended for genuine inquiries and safe communication.

  • Avoid sharing personal sensitive information beyond what is necessary for the transaction.

  • Report suspicious or harmful messages to andikira@magufy.com immediately.


6. Protect Your Privacy

  • Keep login credentials confidential.

  • Only share phone numbers, email, or payment information when comfortable and safe.

  • Magufy may collect some information to improve services, but we do not sell your data.


7. Reporting Problems

If you notice a user violating these guidelines or behaving suspiciously:

  • Click the “Report” button on their listing or message

  • Or email us directly at andikira@magufy.com

Our team will review reports and take action if needed.


8. Consequences for Violations

Users who violate these guidelines may face:

  • Removal or editing of listings

  • Temporary or permanent account suspension

  • Blocking from certain platform features


9. Safety Tips

  • Meet in safe, public locations for in-person transactions.

  • Verify the other party’s identity before making payments.

  • Prefer offline payments via Lumicash or EcoCash only when you feel confident about the transaction.


10. Changes to Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines as our platform grows.
All updates will be posted on this page with the new “Last updated” date.
